The Intrinsic Branches of the Liminal State may vary based on the needs of that specific governmental body, but by default a nation may include:

- Progress →
Assuming these 13 Intrinsic Branches, there would be a total of 78 Lateral Branches. While this may seem like a large government, Lateral Branches are often very specialized and require less staffing than the Intrinsic Branches, which would be made up of many Departments specializing in all the areas under the Branch's expertise. With this structure, the Liminal State is highly functional and likely operates as a smaller, leaner, government without any waste. Instead of hundreds or thousands of useless representatives with their staff, salaries and building requirements, the Liminal State has the exact expert personnel needed, in exactly the right places.
