Intrinsic Branch: International Affairs

The International Affairs Branch is in charge of maintaining relationships with foreign countries and entities. This Branch is special in that a three member Ambassador Unit represents the Liminal State to every nation, with each member serving 12 year terms, staggered every 4 years. The Branch Officials of the International Affairs Branch appoints the members of the Ambassador Units using Proportional Rank Choice Voting from among the qualified and willing candidates.

The objective of these Ambassador Units is to serve the interests of the Citizens of the Liminal State via that relationship with the other state. These Ambassador Units function similar to Branch Officials, where the vote among them decides minor decisions, such as staffing requirements at the foreign embassies. For major decisions, those which impact the entire Liminal State, the Ambassador Unit reports directly to the Executive Group and are charged with educating all the members of the important factors concerning that relationship so the Executive Group can make the best decision. The Executive Group are the only ones authorized to make decisions regarding international relationships that affect the entire Liminal State, so the ambassadors are to err on the side of caution in their decisions and bring all important matters to the Executive Group.
