Intrinsic Branch: Progress

The Progress Branch is in charge of promoting the development of the new research, technology, and sciences that makes the lives of the Citizens better, easier, healthier, more profitable, cleaner, etc.

In the US this would include departments like NASA, the CDC, and even DARPA. Whether it's the advancement of new clean energy, expanding humanities knowledge of the cosmos, developing new gene editing therapies to treat debilitating diseases in utero, or pushing the science needed to ensuring there are safe non-lethal technologies available to defend the state of the state.

The Liminal State should always be on the cutting edge of research, technology and science. It should be a world leader in the general advancement of all human knowledge, regardless of it's apparent immediate value, and the forward-looking Progress Branch and its relationships with the private sector and universities is the key to this success.
