The Liminal State has five executives, each serving 20 year terms, staggered every four years. They are collectively called the Executive Group, and every four years there is a General Election to replace the senior executive with a new junior member and replace the Alternate. This also provides a regular opportunity for the Eligible Voters to grade the existing executives and impeach if necessary.
Each executive, regardless of seniority, has one vote in each Decision Vote, with a simple majority deciding those decisions. Every decision before the Executive Group requires the participation of all members. It is through the Executive Group’s expertise and voting that the Liminal State is guided.
The Executive Group receives ongoing Briefs from all the Branches and disseminate decisions to the Branch Officials of the affected Branches, which then work to implement those decisions of the Executive Group. Additionally the Executive Group members are expected to frequently meet with the Branch Officials.
In summary, the executives collectively guide the nation’s future and decide matters of international importance, while each Executive Group member takes lead on the Special Projects that they pledged to resolve during their terms.
