Typical Duties

Top Branch Officials are required to participate in all Decision Votes.

With every vote cast, each Top Branch Official is obligated to provide a detailed Decision Basis, or summary for the basis of that decision, including supporting documentation and research notes. All this information is recorded to ensure due diligence, provide insight into every vote cast, allow analysis within that branch, allow review by the public at large, and be recorded for posterity.

Temporarily Unavailable

Any unavailability of a Top Branch Official is considered temporary unless an Official Removal Process has transpired.

Should any Top Branch Official be unavailable for a vote due to a temporary situation, then the vote will be held until that official again becomes available.

One Permanently Unavailable

If one Top Branch Official has been officially removed from their seat, then the Alternate shall automatically assume the vacated seat. They will fulfill the remaining balance of that official's term and complete work on the Special Projects started by that official, but will be considered the junior member.

More than One Permanently Unavailable

If more than one Top Branch Official has been officially removed from their seat, and when the Alternate has already filled a seat, then there shall be no Decision Votes prior to an Impromptu Branch Vote to fill the remaining open seat(s) and the position of Alternate using Year 0 Rules.
