Intrinsic Branch: Education

As the Liminal State depends on highly functional Citizens, the Education Branch is critical to the success of individuals and society as a whole. This Branch will derive the minimum standards students will be expected to achieve, as well as certify and monitor educators. The Education Branch will accredit all levels and every kind of educational establishment, and will work closely with the parents to achieve their children's education.

There should be no limits to the education of Citizens, and that starts with the children. In the Liminal State children will be taught media intelligence and critical thinking, with successful students understanding their beliefs, why they believe them, and the relevant arguments critical of those beliefs. Well rounded Citizens are exceptional Citizens, and all students, whether in public, private, or home schooling will be expected to have strong foundational understandings of history, science, math, literature, religion, foreign languages, and more. Our students will be self-aware, able to take personal responsibility for their actions, and be considerate of others.

While higher education will never be compulsory, it should be highly available and highly affordable. Trade education will be equally promoted, providing a fast track into good paying jobs for anyone that does not wish to pursue a traditional degree. The Education Branch will use frequent A/B testing when introducing new ideas and methods into the classrooms and promote educators into the highest levels of the Branch. Just like any government official in a position of leadership or trust, it will be required of all educators to be Eligible Voters that have passed the Empathy Test.
