Call To Action

Unless you’re one of the relatively few elites benefiting from the current system, representative democracies have proven ineffective at governing in a way befitting a modern, healthy, and fair society.

This form of democracy will always inevitably fail because elected leaders are in charge of the very systems that elevate them, and history has proven that those in power will use all available levers to reinforce their continued positions and powers.

The historical purpose of the representative democracy was to aggregate the population's power into the hands of the righteous few; those best suited to make honorable decisions for the entire population. Yet the selfless rarely earn power and this system inevitably leads to the very abuses of position and public neglect we see today by those currently entrusted with this power.

The only realistic way to break this cycle is to take the government’s power away from the elites and leave it in the hands of all citizens, as it resides in fact. Representative democracies are functioning as intended, so the only fix is something different. No legitimate claim can be made that modern citizens require the supervision of an exclusive class, and with the tools now available to contemporary and future societies, a direct democracy is the clear and logical choice.
