Typical Duties
Top Branch Officials are required to participate in all Decision Votes.
With every vote cast, each Top Branch Official is obligated to provide a detailed Decision Basis, or summary for the basis of that decision, including supporting documentation and research notes. All this information is recorded to ensure due diligence, provide insight into every vote cast, support analysis within that branch, allow review by the public at large, and be recorded for posterity.
Temporarily Unavailable
Any unplanned unavailability of a Top Branch Official is considered temporary unless an official Removal Process has transpired.
Should any Top Branch Official be unavailable for a vote due to a temporary situation, then the vote will be held until that official again becomes available. If that official is not available within a period of 10 days, then a Removal Process must begin.
Virtual Voting
The Liminal State uses ongoing advancements in technology and protocols to enable and secure the work of governance, increasing the efficiency of all Government Personnel. This means that the system used by the Liminal State to disseminate and protect necessary information and provide for virtual voting, among other features, allows for a range of work to be done remotely. This is why a temporary absence of a Leadership Group member for more than 10 days calls for their replacement, because the Liminal State doesn't stop working for the Citizens just because someone in charge goes on vacation.
