Abdication

This Great American Experiment has been running for 250 years, and now similar incarnations of this republic represent numerous democratic nations around the world. Yet over the last two and a half centuries the inherent detrimental aspects of this model have become painfully obvious, while subsequent philosophies, such as Marxism, have proven to be inherently faulty.

Enough time has elapsed and enough variables tested to recognize the limitations and inefficiencies of representational democracies, but nothing more promising had yet been proposed. Knowledgeable individuals can point out the problems and even propose modifications, but incremental changes are not going to be capable of rectifying even basic problems, let alone the systemic ones concerning aggravated wealth inequality, the ongoing erosion of democratic principles, loss of personal privacy, attacks on freedom of speech, and representatives working in their best interests instead of that of their constituents, to name a few.

Trying to fix this decaying republic would be like trying to swap the engine on a moving car. As populist elected leaders now solidify their power by leaning into authoritarianism, it’s time for something new, fair, and brave to take humanity into the future.

The Liminal State is a modern re-imagining of how a society can more effectively work together. It's a government framework that organically promotes experts and leaders into official capacities, enhances personal freedoms, removes the divide between citizen and state, and does all this while uniting people in obvious and logical ways so that everyone is heard, and everyone gets ahead. That’s understandably a bold claim, but the Liminal State is a bold form of governance whose time has come.
