One Empty Branch Seat

Should one Branch Official be officially removed, the Alternate will immediately fulfill the seat. The Alternate, as the new Branch Official, will take over the departing Branch Official’s term and Special Projects, but will be considered the junior member of the three in those situations where seniority is considered.

More Than One Empty Branch Seat

If more than one Branch Official is officially removed from their seats, then the Alternate will immediately fulfill the most senior departing seat. The Alternate, in this roll, will take over this departing Branch Official's term, Special Projects, AND will retain the seniority of that seat.

If more than one Branch Official is removed from their seat, then the Alternate will assume the highest available seniority seat and the remaining seat(s) will be filled using an Impromptu Branch Vote within that Branch using the Year 0 Rules to fill all open seats, including the selection of a new Alternate. Such a vote does not change the normal Election Cycle, rather those filling the empty seats will serve abbreviated first terms.

Alternate Not Available

Should the Alternate not be available because they have already filled a Branch Official's seat or been removed through one of the available Removal Paths, then there will be an Impromptu Branch Vote within that Branch using the Year 0 Rules to fill all open seats, including the selection of a new Alternate. Such a vote does not change the normal voting cycle, rather those filling the empty seats will serve abbreviated first terms.
